Megan oversees all aspects of the Outlaw Partners team – from marketing, media, creative and strategic planning efforts to project management, operations and client relations. Megan has over 13 years of experience in marketing and sales capacities within the high-end private club and resort communities and the outdoor industry. Prior to co-founding Outlaw, Megan served as marketing director at Yellowstone Club and Barefoot Resort, in addition to roles with Kampgrounds of America (KOA) and AFRC Europe – Garmish-Partenkirchen.

Brian Niles

Brian has always had a desire for life, adventure, and creativity through the eye of a lens. As director of video production for Outlaw Partners, Brian has over 12 years of video and editing experience ranging from high-end promotional, and TV commercial spots, to luxury real estate marketing and adventure travel.

He takes pride in being cutting edge, and is passionate about telling our client’s stories through visually and emotionally moving images.

Based out of Bend, Oregon, Brian has traveled to the far reaches of the world and is not afraid to get dirty when it comes to getting a shot.

Mike Martins


Consultant and Co-Founder

Mike co-founded Outlaw Partners and led the creative team through April 2014 with a focus on print, web, multimedia and electronic design. Mike has over 15 years of experience as a design professional and currently works as an innovation specialist for GSW in Columbus, OH, while serving as a contract consultant for Outlaw. Mike holds a double degree in Visual Communication Design and Art Education from Purdue University.

Founder and CEO of Outlaw Partners, Eric brings over 20 years of experience in real estate sales and development, marketing, restaurant management, resort operations and expedition guiding – holding senior positions with industry leaders Vail Resorts, Yellowstone Club and Everlands. Ranked as one of the Top 10 real estate sales people in the United States in 2006 & 2007, Eric’s role as senior sales representative led Yellowstone Club to achieve over 1 billion in sales – one of the most successful runs in real estate in the last decade. Joining forces in 2009, Eric and team formed Outlaw Partners LLC, continuing this success within inspiring local, national and international business arenas.

Kelsey’s 8+ years of professional design experience have given her a compulsive attention to detail. She knows that 1/8” and a 3 percent color value adjustment can make magic. Her management of Outlaw Publications has her laying awake at night, wondering if that period was added to the caption on page 52.

She spends her nights and weekends playing with paint, finding clarity outdoors and perusing industry resources for new creative marketing solutions. It’s all worth it. Because when Outlaw produces a design that helps someone find success with their business, smile with inspiration or simply say ‘oohhhh!’ then she goes home happy. That’s a good day.

Joseph is Managing Editor for Outlaw Partners’ publications, including Mountain Outlaw magazine and the Explore Big Sky newspaper. He brings to Outlaw Partners an extensive background in multimedia, specifically writing and editing, and broadcast journalism. Joseph graduated with a degree in English from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. and came to Outlaw in October 2012 after taking graduate journalism courses at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.

With a penchant for thorough reporting and attention to detail, Joseph has published work in Newsweek magazine, Skiing magazine, online and in newspapers from Virginia to Colorado and California.

Tyler Allen


Senior Editor/Distribution Director

Tyler joined the Outlaw team as Distribution Director and staff writer in September 2012. He works strategically to reach the readers of Outlaw’s publications throughout the Greater Yellowstone and subscribers around the country, and as a member of the editorial team has comprehensive knowledge of the content and scope of each issue. He believes journalism can positively affect the world and knows the strength of networking to influence a broad readership.

Tyler earned his B.S. in Forestry and minor degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont and, prior to joining Outlaw Partners, worked in the outdoor industry as a whitewater raft guide and rock climbing instructor in the Pacific Northwest. Tyler has a curiosity in the natural world and sees the commute from his home in Bozeman to Big Sky as an opportunity to fish the riffles and climb the rocks in Gallatin Canyon.

As Outlaw's Director of Business Development, EJ's goal is not only to help grow client's presence through tactical and creative marketing approaches, but also spread the word about Outlaw and it's media outlets.

With a background in marketing management and advertising, EJ's 7 years of experience includes marketing and sales management with a Fortune 500 company, as well as smaller marketing start-ups giving him a well-rounded approach to ideas, and budgets. His strengths lie in his ability to build the relationships that help our clients grow their businesses and their bottom lines.

He was awarded the title of Senior Field Specialist in his time with State Farm Insurance, helping Michigan State Farm agents with training, planning, and budgeting to reach corporate marketing and sales goals. His marketing experience also includes time with the Savy Agency in Bend, OR where he helped lead Savy to new highs in gross sales volume, and new projects.

Maria Wyllie


Associate Editor/Account Coordinator

Maria graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Media Studies from the University of Virginia in 2011, bringing strong writing skills and an understanding of how media can be used to reach audiences effectively.

As an account coordinator, she assists the sales director in organizing and managing sales accounts, ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency, and related client satisfaction. Having worked in a wide range of industries – from restaurant hospitality, to hotel and tourism, to retail and health services – she brings a dynamic, open-minded approach to the Outlaw team.

On the editorial front, Maria helps manage social media sites and takes photographs and writes articles for the Mountain Outlaw magazine, Explore Big Sky newspaper and explorebigsky.com

For Taylor-Ann, Graphic Design is her creative outlet through which she speaks, envisions, and executes. As Outlaw’s Graphic Designer, she has 5+ years of software experience and 2+ years of professional design experience.

Her skills range from publication design, brand identity, website development, social media, creative thinking, and illustration. All these are platforms for innovation that allow her to meet business goals, transform brands, and make life a little easier for both client and consumer alike. Born and raised in Montana, Taylor-Ann sees the mountains she grew up within as her ultimate inspiration for ascension in all aspects of her creative career.

Katie Morrison is a Montana native with a passion for travel. Her home base is in Big Sky, where she resides with her husband Erik and dog Diva. She worked with CEO Eric Ladd at the Yellowstone Club, Everlands, and as the Exec. Director of the non-profit Big Sky Community Corporation, which provides parks, trails, and recreation in Big Sky, prior to joining the Outlaw team. In joining the team, she has been able to combine her skills and interests in the outdoor active lifestyle along with her philanthropic spirit. Her shoe collection favorites are running shoes, red patent leather mary janes, 4 inch platform heels, ski boots, and cowgirl flip flops.

Outlaw Partners offers both editorial and design internships. Our interns must have strong writing and/or design skills and be organized, enthusiastic, hard working and able to commit approximately 20 hours per week.

Explore Big Sky is a full color, local and regional news and lifestyle newspaper, produced and distributed every two weeks in more than 150 locations across southwest Montana. Mountain Outlaw magazine is a vivid, full-color glossy magazine exploring lifestyle, land and culture in the Yellowstone region and beyond. Published twice a year, it features world-class photography and quality editorial content. Our news website, explorebigsky.com, is updated daily.

Rachel Anderson

Editorial Assistant

Rachel Anderson grew up in La Crosse, Wis. where she completed an Associate’s of Applied Science degree in marketing. Soon after, she discovered a passion for the mountains while spending a summer working in Alaska. Seasonal work, in the hospitality industry, then led her to Grand Targhee, Wyo. where she spent two years snowboarding in the Tetons. In 2009, Anderson packed her car and headed north to Big Sky, where a hometown friend showed her the ropes. She quickly fell in love with Lone Mountain, and has remained a part of the Big Sky community several more years. Rachel is currently attending school at Montana State University in Bozeman, where she is completing an undergraduate degree in liberal studies. She loves fried cheese curds like any true Wisconsinite.

Gabrielle Gasser

Editorial Assistant

Gabrielle Gasser, a junior at Lone Peak High School, worked as an editorial intern for Explore Big Sky in spring 2014. Gasser was born in Indiana and grew up 45 minutes outside of Chicago, Ill in Chesterton, Ind. When she was in pre-school, her parents discovered Big Sky. Gasser then spent her kindergarten year at Ophir, and from first through seventh grade she spent the first half of the year in Indiana, and the second half in Big Sky. Her family moved full time to Big Sky when she was in eighth grade. Part of the basketball team in Big Sky since she was in fourth grade, Gasser has also been a member of the varsity golf and volleyball teams since her freshman year of high school. Her other interests include reading, skiing and traveling. Currently, Gasser is the secretary of the LPHS Student Council and a member of the National Honor Society. She is involved in her school through sports and other leadership opportunities, like emceeing the Veteran’s Day Assembly, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Hayden Zelson (August 2013)

Editorial

Hayden Zelson, a rising junior from Choate Rosemary Hall, had written for several of his school newspapers, including The News at Choate. With Outlaw, he was looking to gain experience with a real newspaper. A part time Big Sky resident, Zelson has been visiting the area since 2005 and spends the remainder of his time in Wallingford, Conn. He loves to hike with his dog Rocco and is a self-proclaimed expert on movies, willing to watch anytime.

Alexandra Sidun (May-August 2013)

Design

Alex Sidun fell in love with Big Sky in 1998 and has returned every opportunity since. At Outlaw, she worked on some important projects and saw the design workflow in a place she described as doing “some pretty inspirational work.” That experience, she said, is priceless. “To see how everything I learned in school is actually applied, I had to roll up my sleeves and get dirty with a real agency.” A student at James Madison University in Virginia, Sidun took her experiences back east for her senior year.

Matt Hudson (June-July 2013)

Editorial

Matt Hudson was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana, where his middle school basketball team won the city title two years in a row. At Outlaw, he reported and wrote stories for publication and contributed to company meetings and discussions. Upon leaving Big Sky, Hudson resumed his senior year at the University of Montana School of Journalism. His professional aspirations lie in the continued practice of writing, while his other interests include domestic sedans, the Minnesota Vikings, golf and Americana.

Lauren Rieschel

Editorial

A boarding student at Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, Calif., Lauren Rieschel plans to utilize her experience at Outlaw to help with her high school newspaper. Writing has always been a passion for Rieschel, who has lived in Shanghai, China, most of her life. Writing for Explore Big Sky was her first foray into journalism. Rieschel has also collected data from reefs in Thailand for marine biologists and organized events at her school.

Maria Wyllie (November 2012-April 2013)

Editorial

A Virginia native, Maria came to Big Sky by way of Jackson, Wyoming, where she spent a year playing in the Tetons. Highlights from her Outlaw internship include mornings skiing powder, an appearance as an extra in Warren Miller’s Ticket to Ride, and dinner with renowned Native American artist Kevin Red Star. Maria had so much fun we couldn’t get rid of her; she continues to write in-house for Outlaw publications and also helps with event planning and special projects.

Taylor Anderson (summers 2011, 2012)

Editorial

As Outlaw’s first intern, Taylor Anderson tied some pretty big shoes for others to follow in. After toiling all summer in our offices, he chose to take a year off from the University of Montana School of Journalism and go to work full time as an Assistant Editor for Outlaw. He’s since graduated from UM and continued building his journalism career at publications around the West.
